Congratulations again to the Lakers on another nice performance at the Hobart Tournament on Sunday June 27th.  The Lakers had a record of 4 and 1 throughout the course of what turned out to be a long, but productive day.  The Lakers started out with a nice win over Section V power Aquinas.  They then immediately played and handled Wayland-Cohocton.  After a two-hour gap the Lakers then found themselves in a battle with a LaFayette Lancer team that got hot.  The Lakers used their superior athleticism to weather the storm and walk away with the win.  Skaneateles had another long wait before playing in the elimination round against Chenango Valley.  The Lakers came away with a two-point win setting up a showdown with Class A power Newark in the final.  The Lakers started the game with some hot shooting and took a seven-point lead.  However, Newark made a run right before the half and took a one-point lead.  The second half was a back and forth affair with Skaneateles ultimately dropping the contest by three.  The team really showed their grit and determination against this difficult opponent.  Once again Bob Atkinson has provided pictures.  Thanks Bob.
