Skaneateles found themselves in a pool with Groton, Homer, and Oneonta with their first game at 9am on Sunday July 12th.  The first game against Groton was a very physical battle that the Lakers emerged victorious from.  The Lakers then played a Homer team that had a real tough big man inside.  Homer used their size to beat the Lakers up on the glass.  The Lakers also could not get their offense flowing and they suffered an wight point loss.  Skaneateles then played Oneonta.  The Lakers were simply too much for Oneonta to handle.  The Lakers tied for first place in the pool with Homer and Groton but got edged out on point differential.  In their consolation game, the Lakers were matched up with Whitney Point.  The Point took the early lead.  The Lakers however woke up and used their trademark full court press to blow things open against the Point who could not handle the heat.
